What a very successful first meeting. A huge thank you to all who were able to attend. The ideas, suggestions, inspiration came thick and fast and it was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm for this new venture.
An email of 'informal minutes/notes' has been circulated to all on the database.
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 6th September and the theme will be .....?. All attending this evening wrote theme ideas on slips of paper and bravely put them into the centre of the table. The host for the 6th September then picked one out and slowly unfolded the paper with growing anticipation from the rest of the group. 'Lemon' was emblazoned on the paper and a cry of delight went up from the group. What a great theme to start with. Minds are already buzzing with possible ideas / recipes. Each member will bring a dish, enough for 4 to 6 people, that incorporates lemon somewhere in the recipe.
The group decided to keep all other criteria loose for the evening which will certainly add to the excitement of what people will turn up with. It could mean one month we eat nothing but desserts, but where is the harm in that?
A huge thank you to al,l once again, and I am looking forward to the 6th September already!

Welcome
Welcome to the Ferrers Triangle's latest new addition to our wonderful community. With so many talented cooks in the neighbourhood I am surprised that we haven't formally got together before now. Thanks to the Grapevine a message is circulating as I type to invite all potential members to a meeting at the Earl Ferrers on Tuesday 2nd August at 6.30pm. A number of keen cooks have already indicated that they will be attending. The aim of the first meeting is to decide on the format of the club. There are other established models in London that we could follow but it will be good to brainstorm ideas and see what we come up with.
See you all on the 2nd August.
